Built on the principles of timeless color, expression of form, and functional elegance, R+D is a creative firm driven by a reverence for aesthetics and purpose. Producing pieces that are both sustainable and meaningful to modern life, their new collection takes inspiration from Milan’s Neo-Rationalism movement of the 60s and 70s by seamlessly blending strong color presence with austere elegance. 

With an intrinsic belief in the necessity of research and design, R+D provides space for collaborative exchange amongst Italy’s finest artisans; their approach allows for the use of centuries-old techniques to remain at the forefront of production with each individual piece being treated as a work of art. Through the use of high-resistance borosilicate glass, thoroughly tested glazes, and the principles of slow production, R+D Labs ceramics and glassware are made to withstand everyday use; that means they’re dishwasher and microwave safe, too.
